Superb summer tableware for candle holders, protecting candle from drafts.
Dating from Napoleon III period, they are blown crystal (with some small bubbles).
body is engraved of a foliate design on top and bottom, while top features a starry sky.
Basement is sealed in a brass ring. Their diameters are 4.5 cm external and 3 cm internal.
It's not uncommon to find antique candle holder bases, but extremely rare to find a pair of their glass shades in such good condition, so lovely, and bearing their age so well.
Dimensions: 27.5 cm H, 12.5 cm D, 400 g each.
