Snack Table, Bedside Table, Louis XV
A charming snack table in solid walnut and walnut veneer, laid in a frieze framed with mahogany on all four sides. The cabriole and molded legs terminate in scrolls and sabots. It opens with a door, a drawer, and a discreet pull-out shelf beneath the top. The top is molded and inset with Aleppo breccia marble. This small piece, designed to be used as a portable table (easily moved), features side notches for easy handling. Mid-19th century.
