JAPAN - Momoyama Period (1573-1603). KABUTO composed of 62 strips of matte brown lacquered wrought iron, assembled with small raised rivets. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in patinated and gilded copper with four tiers. SHIKORO (neck guard) with four tiers in brown lacquered wrought iron and blue silk braid (minor lacquer losses). FUKIGAESHI (small fins) in brown lacquered iron. MABI SA SHI (visor) in matte brown lacquered wrought iron highlighted with finely engraved gilded copper featuring stylized scrolls on a nanako background, the reverse lacquered red.
