Solid Silver Shuttle-shaped Oil And Vinegar Cruet, Directoire/empire Period, Silversmith's Hallmark
A solid silver Directoire period oil and vinegar set in the shape of a shuttle, openworked with palmettes and decanter holders decorated with arcades. A faceted column, upon which perches a bird, holds the stopper chains to the finial.
Worked circa 1798-1809.
