A silver lancet case containing six blades mounted on tortoiseshell. The case, finely decorated with scrolling foliage, bears the inscription "Eugène NICOLLE, Doctor of Medicine." Chief physician of the Hôtel-Dieu in Rouen from 1877 until his death, he was the father of Charles Nicolle, future Nobel laureate in Medicine. Height: 7 cm.
