A fine quality set of eight late Georgian Regency dining chairs, constructed from solid figured mahogany with ebony inlay, circa 1800, with stuff-over upholstered seats and in good original condition. The set includes six side chairs and two armchairs. These sturdy, heavy chairs feature flame mahogany, curved rectangular bar backs decorated with ebony Greek-key marquetry, supported by ebony-inlaid molded uprights and united by a finely inlaid central splat. The seat frames are raised on ebony inlaid sabre-shaped front legs, with splayed rear legs. The chair seat heights are 47cm. The chairs offer both comfort and aesthetic appeal and retain their original color and patina to the frames, ensuring they stand out in any setting. Generously proportioned, they provide ample seating space and make a striking addition to any dining room table. In good condition, this set of dining chairs, crafted in England circa 1800, is not only highly functional but also a superb representation of late Georgian–Regency design.
