Oil On Canvas "concarneau", Signed S. Blaszczyk – 1991
Artist: Blaszczyk
A beautiful marine painting depicting a harbor scene in Concarneau. Several boats are moored, with buildings in the background. The colors are primarily shades of blue, gray, and white, with touches of yellow and red. A figure in a yellow oilskin and cap is visible in the foreground; this fisherman is working on one of the boats. The atmosphere is misty, suggesting a cloudy morning. The painting's molded frame is gilded and lacquered black. The artist's name and the date, "Blaszczyk St. 91," are visible in the lower right corner of the painting. Stanislas Blaszczyk (1944-2006) was born in September 1944 in a labor camp in Singen, Poland, where his parents were imprisoned during the occupation. After the liberation, he moved to Paris, where he worked as a hairdresser before beginning to paint. After living in Vesoul, he arrived in L'Ile-d'Elle in 1991, residing first on Rue du Sabbat and then on Route de Fontenay. He painted many canvases, which he sold himself or through galleries in La Rochelle and Paris. ********Period: 1991. Very good condition. Delivery possible in France and internationally.
