Beautiful solid oak wardrobe, molded and carved, Louis XV period, late 18th century. It opens with two doors featuring richly molded and carved panels adorned with floral and shell motifs. The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves (with the possibility of adding a third or converting it into a hanging wardrobe). The lower rail is finely carved, and the straight molded cornice emphasizes the overall elegance. Original hardware (lock, keyholes, hinges), handcrafted with pegged joinery. Lock and key are functional. A beautiful antique patina; a sound and authentic piece, ideal for a classic or country chic interior. Good overall condition, with wear consistent with age.
