Set of three Canon covered jars, for an apothecary, white earthenware, square base supporting foot, ovoid body with two small handles, stepped inward-curvinglid ending in a tassel.
Manganese decoration and this very rare orange color, typical from the Rey pottery in Macon, to whom we owe most of the jars in Hôtel-Dieu.

These three jars are good condition, unrestored, and genuinely show their wear: a chip on one foot, three small chips on top, one chip on one lid, and some fine cracks.
