A Side Table Inlaid With Precious Woods, Richly Decorated With Floral Marquetry.
A marquetry sideboard in precious woods, richly decorated with floral marquetry depicting a bouquet in an antique vase, framed by finely executed fillets and Greek key patterns. This exquisitely detailed central motif reflects the Louis XV style, revived in the 19th century. The front and sides feature a perfectly balanced geometric frieze veneer, highlighted by finely chased gilt-bronze ornamentation: masked drops, keyhole escutcheons, sabots, handles, and delicately crafted rocaille motifs. The piece is topped with a peach-flower marble slab, molded with a corbel-like edge, providing contrast and elegance. The shaped base rests on small cabriole feet, accentuating the piece's visual lightness.
