Rectangular jardinière with rounded corners, made of fine earthenware, decorated in polychrome in a Japanese style with flowers in low relief and a butterfly and dragonfly amidst lush vegetation.
The artist's signature is on the side of the jardinière, and the manufacturer's mark, printed between 1888 and 1920, is underneath.
The custom-made base is crafted from exotic wood in the Far Eastern style.
There is wear and a small chip on the base and slight wear on the neck of the jardinière.
An expert's certificate, prepared by Ms. Nelly Fouchet, an expert with the CEA (Compagnie des Experts en Art & Antiquités), will be provided for all purchases made at the gallery.
