"Lunéville - 6 Barbotine Plates Decorated With Asparagus & Artichokes – 20th Century"
Lunéville - Set of 6 Barbotine Plates Decorated with Asparagus & Artichokes – 20th Century. A set of six barbotine plates from the Keller & Guérin factory in Lunéville, decorated with a naturalistic motif of asparagus and artichokes, typical of late 19th-century culinary and vegetable production. Each plate has a recess for sauce. Each plate displays a slightly different shade of color, characteristic of Lunéville ware: variations of green, purple, blue, or pastel hues, resulting from the hand-applied glazes and firing process. Please note a small chip on one plate. Viewable at Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, 41 rue des Acacias, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
