"Plaster Academic Bust Of A Roman: Caius Marius"
The students in the drawing and sculpture class examined it from every angle, but it's the bust itself that would have so much to reveal if it had the gift of speech. Since entering the academy, it has seen countless pairs of eyes and heard all sorts of comments, not always flattering ones, I might add. It's true, its face is less appealing than the Mona Lisa's. It has survived through some very turbulent times, always, without flinching, standing on its pedestal. In short, I could have written something like: "You always need a Roman bust in your home," but that doesn't answer the question: "But who exactly was this famous Caius Marius?" (Hint: Caius Marius, born in 157 BC and died in 86 BC, was a famous Roman general and politician of the late 2nd and early 1st centuries BC). Now look it up on Wikipedia...
