Pair Of Napoleon III Period Lamps, With Black Enameled Porcelain Stems
Pair of Napoleon III period lamps, with black porcelain stems glazed with stylized floral decoration. The motifs, painted in fine gold and enhanced with delicate pinkish-purple petals, perfectly illustrate the naturalistic aesthetic of the late Napoleon III and early Art Nouveau movements, blending flowing curves and stylized vegetation. The bases are made of finely chased bronze, resting on openwork feet typical of late 19th-early 20th century production. The upper mounts, also in bronze, retain their original fittings (to be checked depending on future use). These are decorative pieces with a striking presence and are very harmonious. Characteristics: Period: Napoleon III, circa 1880 Materials: porcelain, gold-painted decoration and polychrome enamels; bronze mount Condition: Very good overall condition Electrification: To be adapted to current standards Dimensions: h45 cm
