Marked with a red vignette. Dimensions: H.; W. (cm.). Paris, circa 1780. A strongly bulbous milk jug resting on a tripod base. Very fine gilt decoration in trellis and friezes. The Clignancourt factory, placed under the protection of the King's brother, Monsieur, Count of Provence, from 1777, produced pieces mainly gilt and then polychrome in the second half of the 1780s. The vignette mark is Monsieur's initials: LSX. Condition report: very fresh gilt, minimal wear.
