Elegant oval frame in carved and gilded wood, surmounted by an elegant ribboned bow and embellished with carved laurel branches on the sides.

The workmanship features the characteristic pearl and fluted motifs typical of the neoclassical style.

The leaf gilding, partially worn by time, gives the surface a charming, lived-in effect.

The original mercury glass shows signs of oxidation and foxing, evidence of its antiquity.

The back retains its authentic patina, with traces of the old fixing.
