Bronze Baluster Vase - Japan - Late 11th Century

Superb Japanese bronze vase, baluster-shaped with a wide, flared neck, resting on a circular pedestal. The decoration features large panels adorned with stylized floral motifs, framed by two lateral handles in the form of pine branches, a symbol of longevity in Japan. The dark patina highlights the quality of the modeling and chasing. The piece is characteristic of Japanese production from the late 19th century, a period corresponding to the Meiji era (1868–1912). Very good condition. Dimensions: - Height: 33.5 cm - Diameter: 39 cm
