Table Centerpiece Planter – Ginori Manufacture, Late 19th Century
Artist: Urbano Lucchesi
Elegant table planter in polychrome ceramic by the Ginori Manufacture, dating from the late 19th century. The central basin, decorated in blue and white with raised foliate motifs, is supported by two facing birds, modeled with remarkable sculptural detail. Their open wings and stylized legs give the piece a strong architectural presence, while the upward-tilted heads holding a fruit in their beaks add a charming decorative touch typical of Ginori’s late-Romantic production.
The warm tones of the plumage harmonize beautifully with the deep blue of the basin, creating a refined balance between form and decoration.A piece of great character, ideal as a table centerpiece or as part of a collection of historic Italian ceramics.
