Late 19th Century Tortoiseshell And 14k Gold Snuffbox
Tortoiseshell snuffbox with 14k gold ornaments, no visible hallmarks, tested with a touchstone, probably French work from the late 19th century. All the ornaments—spans, fillets, central cartouche, and opening handle—are 14k gold. The hinge is silver-plated. Very pretty, understated, and elegant model. Good condition, small cracks in the tortoiseshell underneath and on the back. All questions welcome.
