Openwork Bronze And Blown Glass Lantern – 19th Century
Superb late 19th-century bronze hanging lantern, richly decorated. The frame, entirely in chased and openwork bronze, features a blend of Neoclassical and Baroque styles: openwork friezes, a sculpted crown, and applied floral embellishments. The lantern body is composed of blown glass, forming large optical cabochons, typical of 19th-century ceremonial lanterns. Very good condition, could be electrified if needed.
