Three cobalt-painted porcelain plates. The central motif is a Chinese ideogram meaning "longevity" (壽, shòu). The rims of the plates are decorated with images of phoenixes (fenghuang), important figures in Chinese mythology. A symbol of virtue and grace, their appearance heralds the warmth of summer, as well as peaceful and happy times. The rims were likely adorned with bronze bands added later.

China, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period (1661-1722). On the back, it is signed with a motif of two fish, often used during the Kangxi period.

Diameter 15-16.5 cm, height 3-3.5 cm.

Relatively good condition, small crack visible in the photos.
