Cavalry officer's pistol, Model 1777, second type. Magnificent regulation pistol of the second type, produced in Saint-Étienne in 1786. It is stamped with the "J" of the inspector Javelle. The production date is stamped near the mark of the inspector Jean-Baptiste Merley on the left side of the barrel. The ramrod of this pistol is correct, regulation, and original. The Saint-Étienne factory marking is excellent. The acceptance mark of the finished weapon on the stock is in perfect condition and clearly visible: June 1786, with the stamp of Étienne Lambert, inspector in Saint-Étienne. This weapon is in near-mint condition, despite being over 230 years old. Category D firearm, available for sale to adults over 18 years of age (upon presentation of identification).
