"Antique Tazza Bronze , Ferdinand Levillain , Susse Freres , 19th Century "
An important antique gilt bronze cup on a pedestal. The cup features a central, finely modeled, patinated bronze circular medallion signed F. Levillain. The neoclassical scene depicts a woman offering a vase to a kneeling man. The allegorical decoration is enlivened by a smoking altar and precisely sculpted draperies. The contrast between the bright gilt of the bowl and the warm patina of the medallion highlights the quality of execution and the elegance of the design, characteristic of Ferdinand Levillain's work. The cup bears the signature of the Susse Freres firm from the 19th century. 33 cm in diameter, 12 cm high. Very good condition.
