Ex-voto
A rare ex-voto of an officer who survived the Napoleonic Wars. Recognizable by his uniform of the Voltigeurs de la Garde (buff-colored collar), the coat is blue and white with an officer's sword. Judging by the gorget and cartridge box plate, he ended his career in the army during the Restoration period. It is adorned with a very fine miniature portrait of this man, despite a small chip above the face on the left side of the portrait. The frame is fitted with a handmade convex glass (with some air bubbles), protruding by 6 cm. The entire piece measures 32 x 26 cm, and the miniature, 8 x 6 cm.
