19th Century Italian Carved Walnut And Burl Queen Bed With Inlays

Italian carved walnut double bed dating back to the first half of 19th century,  in good condition, with a great original patina. The elegant and unique bed frame is walnut  veneer  and decorated with Neoclassical motivs, masks within laurel frames and palmette decorations inlaid in maple and pyrographed; the uprights and pinnacles are ornated with vertical inlays; footboard’s feet  are turned and carved with a dark patina. The headboard having lovely  inlaid cherubs framed by a carved coping with two large scrolls. The bed is in good condition, with minor signs of wear and  use consistent with age and shows a great original patina. Disassembled into four parts. The internal dimensions of the bed frame are cm. 204 x 159 and the footboard  maximum height is cm. 121.5.
It comes from a private residence in Milan where the net was placed on very worn wooden crosspieces.  Price does not include the chest, a new one must be custom-made ex-novo.
