19th Century Canton Lacquer Cabinet
Red lacquer cabinet, Canton lacquer, China, 19th century. The cabinet comprises two elements: a console and a body with three large drawers. The drawer fronts feature a relief decoration of palace scenes in polychrome, embellished with small pieces of mirror. The console is decorated with floral and vegetal motifs on a red lacquer background. The cabinet is in good condition, although there are some minor losses to the lacquer. Height approximately 117 cm, width approximately 104 cm, depth approximately 59 cm.
