Polychrome Earthenware Vase – Minton Factory – Neoclassical Style, Late 19th Century
A superb polychrome glazed earthenware vase from the renowned English manufacturer Minton, dating from the late 19th century. The rich and spectacular decoration is typical of Minton's high-end productions of this period. The vase features a relief medallion on the front depicting a female profile in the antique style, surrounded by a beaded frieze. The whole is embellished with neoclassical motifs: stylized foliage, Greek key patterns, gilt highlights, ribbons, and palmettes. The side handles are decorated with green and gold rings, typical of decorative designs inspired by antiquity. The interior is glazed in a deep turquoise blue, a common aesthetic signature of Minton. The piece is stamped underneath with the MINTON mark, guaranteeing its authenticity.
