Marquetry Box, Antique Box, 18th Century
Small box with a slightly domed lid, inlaid with native woods on an oak core, decorated with scrolling foliage and inlays of green-stained and white-left bone. Gilt bronze keyhole escutcheon decorated with atlantes wearing crowns. Interior lined with crimson damask fabric. Late 17th - early 18th century. Condition: small loss to the bone and superficial detachment.
