"Gosse Manufactory In Paris, Set Of 55 Porcelain Apothecary Jars, Signed, 19th Century"
Important set of 55 white porcelain apothecary jars, the smallest decorated with polychrome laurel wreaths and inscriptions in black (19 cm high and 12 cm in diameter), and the largest with polychrome decoration of gilt wreaths and rose bows and gilt inscriptions (28 cm high and 12 cm in diameter). All the larger jars are marked underneath "Gosse à Paris" (Parisian child). All of these apothecary jars come from the pharmacy on rue de Bourgogne in Paris. 19th century.
