19th Century European Style in the Chinese Style: "Painted porcelain vegetable dish, 13 x 24 x 17 cm.
Based on a famous design from the 18th-century Pompadour Service of the East India Company, our vegetable dish was made by an unidentified European manufacturer (perhaps Samson), who "improved" it by adding a handle in the shape of a gilded pomegranate.
An inscription is impressed into the base.
