"Chest Front Circa 1600 Italy"
A walnut wood chest front carved with foliage on the edges and three cartouches, one depicting a peasant with a sickle, the middle one with a cup from which two snakes and a dragon emerge (the cup of John the Evangelist), and finally, on the right, a peasant at rest. This panel can be used as wall decoration or as a headboard. It is a bas-relief sculpture. Northern Italy, circa 1600.
