His works featuring dogs are extremely rare; we have discovered another one whose style is very similar to ours. His international career as an artist began in 1867 with his move to Düsseldorf. That same year, Jutz exhibited at the Universal Exhibition in Paris, then in Vienna in 1873, and in Sydney and Melbourne in 1879 and 1881. British and American collectors acquired several of his major works.
German museums in Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Breslau, and Königsberg held paintings from his lifetime. Some of Carl Jutz's paintings, featuring ducks and hens, have fetched high prices at international auctions (e.g., Koller, Zurich, March 23, 2007 – USD 114,000; Dorotheum, Vienna, April 1, 2009 – EUR 44,000).
