Large solid silver coffee pot or teapot in the Empire style. Neoclassical form. Chiseled spout with a "dog's head" motif. Ebony handle. Three hallmarks: Maker's mark in a lozenge shape: initials GL (to be determined). Import mark: Swan facing left. A third, illegible hallmark. Height 34 cm. Width 22 cm including the handle. Weight 964 grams (including the handle).
