A sublime and rare Louis XV period Liège grandfather clock, finely carved and molded in oak.
Made in Liège around 1770, the pewter and brass dial is signed Jacques Wampé in Liège.
Liège furniture is renowned for its high level of craftsmanship.
The grandfather clock is in its original condition; it requires some restoration (primarily the mechanism, which needs servicing by a clockmaker).
The construction of the mechanism is typical of Liège clockmaking.
Additional photos are available upon request.
Very fine quality !

Height = 230 cm
