An important Napoleon III period mantel clock in gilt bronze and polychrome porcelain in shades of pink and blue. The dial, with enameled Roman numerals, is centered on a porcelain plaque decorated with a floral wreath and surmounted by an oval containing the portrait of a young woman of high rank, possibly representing the Countess du Barry.
