Hubert Agostini was born in Marseille in 1935 and died in 2021. A post-Cubist painter, he studied at the Marseille School of Fine Arts from 1948 to 1955. He exhibited regularly in Paris and Marseille. He created this work using rich impasto and deep colors. In the foreground, a carafe and a pear rest on a small table; in the background, a window frame and an easel are visible. Hubert Agostini is listed in the "Bénézit" dictionary of French art.
