This spring landscape, depicting a village with chickens in a meadow and ducks in a pond, was painted in the early 20th century by the renowned Austrian artist Alois Arnegger (1879-1967). A student of Robert Russ and Eisenmenger at the Vienna Academy, the artist was highly prized by collectors worldwide for his Italian panoramas and winter paintings of the Alps.
