A Transition period piece from the 18th century, this commode features a slightly projecting front with two drawers without a central rail, framed by Greek-style friezes. It is topped with its original veined breccia marble, perfectly preserved. It is distinguished by its rich mounts of chased and gilded bronze, adorned with lion heads at the corner mounts. The keyhole escutcheons are decorated with elegant ribbon bows. The apron, located beneath the drawers, is finely decorated with a lion's head and floral ornaments.
