An elegant mahogany writing slope from the English Navy, featuring brass decorations typical of this type of furniture. Beautiful brass ornamentation includes corner brackets and reinforcements, a finely shaped keyhole escutcheon, and a central motif on the top.
A medallion bearing the name of the first owner, Stevens, is located in the center.
The writing slope opens to reveal two leather sleeves, two inkwells, and a pen holder. It also has a mechanism that, when activated, reveals a trapdoor with three drawers.
The two-hook lock is functional and comes with its key.
It has a beautiful patina and is in magnificent condition.
