Toile de Jouy quilt with a motif of figures in various scenes in the Neo-Gothic Troubadour style. Early 19th century. Dimensions: 2.66 x 2.63 cm. Good overall condition, slight discoloration in places. Boutis is a quilted and sometimes embroidered textile work. The term applies primarily to quilted productions from the south of France. The know-how of boutis, or Marseille embroidery, was listed in the inventory of intangible cultural heritage in France in 2019.
