Pair of bronze candlesticks with a raised circular base embellished with smooth, projecting moldings, a central axis decorated with discs, and a bulbous top. They belong to the type known as "spool candlesticks" and were common in certain European schools; for example, they are already found in Spanish Gothic pieces, later becoming very common. In subsequent centuries, details such as the proportions of the base, its lines, and the upper finial were modified to suit the tastes of each period.
