Pair of percussion pistols in their case, Louis Philippe period, 19th century, circa 1825. Finely rifled octagonal barrels, 28-pounder caliber, made of Damascus steel, slightly flared at the muzzle and fitted with sights. Proof marks, partially concealed on the left side of the guns, including the marks of the St-Etienne arms factory of 1825. See photos. Iron-mounted pistols with domed oval butt caps, iron hoods, and batwing-shaped side plates. Beautiful stock with a medium-length walnut forend and checkered grip. Whalebone ramrods with horn tips topped with nails. One for cleaning and the other with a pig's tail. Flat-bodied hammer, nipples on weights mounted in the pan's location. Functional mechanism on both weapons and with a backlock action. N) 50 on one pistol on the stock at the level of the proof marks on the barrel (see photos). French-style mounted case on a bed of faded Empire green velvet, containing a powder flask, a screwdriver, an oiler, and its round ball mold of the correct caliber. Two compartments at opposite corners, containing some round balls from the mold and a more modern box of primers manufactured by "RWS" (Rheinisch Weslfälischen Sprengstof).
