"18th Century Walnut Angel Head"
A walnut cherub's head adorned with a garland of flowers. The head, dating from the early 18th century, is mounted on a generously sized faux-marble panel (66 cm x 34 cm) executed in the 19th century. The sculpture is carved in the round (or high relief), demonstrating the sculptor's great skill. The piece is in good condition overall; note a small imperfection on the lip (close-up photo).
