Kangxi Chinese Porcelain Plate, From The 18th Century (famille Verte).
A very pretty Chinese porcelain plate from the early 18th century, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1622-1722), known as the Famille Verte style. The plate features a central floral design with a phoenix in flight. The rim is decorated with reserves of shrimp and fish, alternating with floral motifs on a latticework pattern. The glazes, in the characteristic tones of Famille Verte (iron red, gold, and various shades of green), are in good condition. The reverse features a floral design on the rim and the blue circles typical of the period. The plate, 23.7 cm in diameter, is sold as is, with visible hairlines on both sides (see photo).
