Superb and large Navaja knife from Albacete, dating from the mid-19th century, with a blade engraved with a cartouche decorated with scrolling foliage on both sides, one side bearing a slogan in Spanish to be deciphered. It features a large spring with a lever-type release mechanism that securely holds the blade. The large brass bolster is decorated with engraved checkering and lines. The black horn handle is inlaid with two long brass bands on each side, along which run micro-studs. The brass tang of the handle is decorated with engraved checkering and lines.
