Yves Offret (1946 – 2004) Norman painter Born in 1946, Yves Offret dedicated his life to painting, developing a body of work deeply rooted in his native Normandy. His studio, located in Conches-en-Ouche, was the site of a pictorial exploration attentive to the landscapes, changing light, and atmospheres of the region. In the 1980s, he exhibited notably at the Galerie Tuffier in Les Andelys, where his work attracted the attention of an audience sensitive to the poetry of his canvases. Faithful to his personal approach, Offret favored an intimate style of painting, where nature and scenes of daily life are transformed into sensitive evocations, imbued with serenity. Having passed away in 2004, Yves Offret left behind a discreet yet sincere body of work, which testifies to an artist's attachment to his land and to the simple beauty of everyday life.
