Jean-Émile Laboureur (1877–1943) was an engraver, illustrator, and painter from Nantes. After studying in Paris and traveling extensively, he developed a style influenced by Cubism, renowned for its elegance and the finesse of its line. A master of wood engraving and burin engraving, he illustrated works by authors such as Colette, Gide, and Alain-Fournier. An observer of modern life, he left behind a substantial and refined body of work before his death in 1943 in Pénestin.
