Signed 'Constant ROUX' in cursive script, foundry mark 'Susse Frères' and 'Lost Wax'.
Very good condition. Beautiful nuanced patina.
Large model. Height 55cm x Width 48cm x Depth 20cm.
Constant Roux (1865-1942) began and brilliantly concluded his career with a single work: The Wrath of Achilles. Indeed, she opened the doors of the Villa Medici to him after his winning the Grand Prix de Rome in 1894 and awarded him a medal of honor at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français in 1930.
