Art Deco Style Silver Enamel Snake Bracelet, Egyptomania
This charming snake has two opposing heads and is made of flexible woven silver, entirely covered in enameled scales forming a colorful geometric design.
The heads are also adorned with champlevé enamel, and the open mouths reveal the teeth and forked tongue.
The eyes are small pinkish-red cabochons. Highly elastic and springy, it can be worn high on the forearm, in the style of the Art Deco period.
The snake motif also alludes to the Egyptomania of the same period, linked to the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb! Marked 935 on the back of each head, it is made of German silver.
Note: Two areas where scales are missing in the middle, equidistant between the two heads, and another two centimeters from one of the heads. Enamel restorations were carried out in our workshop.
In good condition, German Art Deco period, circa 1925.
Adjustable inner diameter of 5 to 6 cm minimum.
Weight: 31g
