"The Seaweed Gatherers By Lucien Sergent (1849-1904)"
A beautiful work by Lucien Pierre Sergent (1849-1904) depicting seaweed gatherers. It is an oil on canvas measuring 50 x 65 cm (67 x 83 cm with its lovely period frame). The work is signed in the lower right corner and dedicated: "A token of sincere friendship, to Paul and Madame Paul Materne." The painting has just been carefully cleaned by my conservator and is therefore in perfect condition. The two dark rectangles appearing on the back are not coins but localized impregnations, applied by my conservator precisely to avoid using coins. There are a few minor imperfections on the frame. Free delivery in Paris is possible.
